If you are coming to Dubai for an exhibition at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) or for meetings in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the best hotels near Dubai World Trade Centre and DIFC are the ones closest to where you will spend your days. For shows, that means the hotels inside the DWTC complex, right next to the halls; for finance meetings, it means the hotels in and around DIFC’s Gate Village.

The two districts sit at either end of the same stretch of Sheikh Zayed Road, two metro stops apart, and the hotels along the road between them work for both. The catch is that the biggest shows fill these hotels early, and several of them now run partly at Expo City Dubai instead. This guide explains where to stay for each kind of trip, how to get to the halls, the big show dates for 2026–27, and our 14 hotel picks. If you are also planning leisure time, our guide to where to stay in Dubai compares every area.

Where should you stay for DWTC or DIFC?

Stay inside the World Trade Centre complex if you are at a show all day; stay in DIFC if your meetings are there; and choose Sheikh Zayed Road if you need a bit of both.

  • Exhibitions at DWTC: Novotel, ibis and 25hours are inside the DWTC complex, so you can walk to the halls. SIRO One Za’abeel is right beside the complex.
  • Meetings in DIFC: Waldorf Astoria, Four Seasons and The Ritz-Carlton are in DIFC itself. Jumeirah Emirates Towers, at Emirates Towers station, is one metro stop from World Trade Centre.
  • A mix of both, or a longer stay: Sheikh Zayed Road hotels such as Conrad and Sheraton Grand face or sit close to the centre, and Staybridge Suites has apartments with kitchens beside Financial Centre station.
  • A show at Expo City Dubai: check the venue first (see the event table below). If you will be at Dubai Exhibition Centre every day, a hotel nearer Expo City makes more sense; Dubai Marina is the closest of our area guides.

If you want restaurants and an evening out on your doorstep, Downtown Dubai is three metro stops south of World Trade Centre, at Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station.

Getting to the halls

Most visitors walk in from the hotels inside the complex or take the Dubai Metro Red Line to World Trade Centre station, which has a direct pedestrian connection to the exhibition halls. Taxis work too, but on big show days visitors are encouraged to use the metro.

Walking from the hotels inside the complex

Novotel World Trade Centre, ibis World Trade Centre, ibis One Central and 25hours Hotel Dubai One Central all appear on DWTC’s own venue map, next to the halls; the last two are in One Central, the complex’s district of offices, apartments and hotels. The Seamless Middle East venue guide, for example, names the Novotel and ibis as the nearest hotels to the venue, so this is the place to stay if you want to drop back to your room between meetings.

By metro: World Trade Centre and Emirates Towers stations

World Trade Centre station (Red Line) still has its original name, while many other stations now have new sponsor names. Organisers describe a walk of a few minutes from the station to the halls. Emirates Towers is the next stop south, with direct access into Jumeirah Emirates Towers, and Financial Centre, the stop after that, serves the DIFC end of Sheikh Zayed Road. The Red Line also runs straight to Airport Terminals 1 and 3 without a change. Our Dubai Metro guide explains tickets and how the lines work.

Taxis at peak event times

DWTC says almost all drivers know the centre and its drop-off points, and Careem and Uber have pick-up points around the venue. Ahead of Gulfood in January 2026, Khaleej Times reported that roadworks around DWTC and DIFC could slow traffic and that some event car parks charged Dh100 for the first hour. Drivers can only drop off at authorised entrances, and the taxi rank is next to the ibis hotel at Exhibition Plaza.

The Za’abeel side of the centre

DWTC is a large complex with several groups of halls: Sheikh Rashid Hall, Sheikh Maktoum Hall, the Sheikh Saeed Halls, the Trade Centre Arena, the numbered halls and Za’abeel Halls 1 to 6. The Za’abeel Halls have their own Za’abeel Entrance, a taxi drop-off and the Za’abeel Plaza car park. Some shows use only this side: Gulf Print & Pack 2027 (12 to 14 January 2027), for example, is in Za’abeel Halls 4, 5 and 6. Check your hall on the show’s website before you choose a hotel, and give the taxi driver the entrance name.

Big events at Dubai World Trade Centre in 2026–27

The biggest shows fill the hotels around DWTC and Sheikh Zayed Road, so book as soon as you have your dates. Several now run partly or fully at Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) in Expo City Dubai, so check the venue too.

Dates and venues as published on each event’s official website on 21 October 2026. Dates can change, as they did for some shows in 2026, so check the organiser’s site before you book.

Why book early: during Gulfood in February 2023, a hotel manager told Gulf News that most hotels on Sheikh Zayed Road were booked out, and Booking.com showed 97 per cent of listed Dubai hotels as unavailable for the busiest dates. Rates rise in big show weeks, so reserve as soon as your trip is confirmed and pick a rate with free cancellation if your plans could change.

Shows split across two venues: for Gulfood 2026, Khaleej Times reported free shuttle buses between DWTC and Expo City. Sheraton Grand (below) also offers its guests a free shuttle to exhibitions at Expo City Dubai. For other dates, see our Dubai events calendar.

  • Use licensed taxis, the official taxi rank or the Careem and Uber pick-up points at the venue, as GOV.UK advises.
  • In DIFC bars and hotel lounges, keep an eye on your drink: GOV.UK warns that drinks can be spiked.
  • Keep laptops and phones with you in busy halls and food courts; GOV.UK advises sensible precautions with your belongings.

Is it better to stay in DIFC or near Dubai World Trade Centre?

How do I get from Dubai International Airport to Dubai World Trade Centre?

The Red Line runs directly from the Airport Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 stations to World Trade Centre station without a change. Hotels in the area list the airport at roughly 8 to 11 km away, and our guide to Dubai airport transfers and the metro explains the options, or you can book an airport transfer in advance.

Are there budget hotels near Dubai World Trade Centre?

Yes. ibis Dubai World Trade Centre is inside the DWTC complex next to the halls, and Rove Trade Centre is a short distance north and has a pool. For more options across the city, see our guide to budget hotels in Dubai.
